The following technology detail is the legal Patent of Associated Polymer Labs, Inc. Attention Foam Manufacturers: Are you interested in manufacturing a new formulation for your foam products? Our blending technology allows the use of different materials to manufacture unique products. The blends and alloys in this patent have properties that no other homopolymer can offer.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to produce a foam that can be recycled and which can use recycled polyethylene as a feedstock. It is a further object of the present invention to produce a foam that can be processed with conventional foaming machinery. It is yet a further object of the present invention to produce a foam that is light in weight. It is yet another object of the present invention to produce a foam that is dimensionally stable. Lastly, it is an object of the invention to produce a resilient, non-brittle, low cost foam structure that can be used for sports and leisure equipment such as bodyboards, life vests, seat cushions, and floatation devices or that can be used for floor underlayment and which would also be suitable for protective packaging of delicate and fragile high surface quality goods. Costs: Licensing cost are normally around 3% of gross sales. There is a legal fee for the contract and a yearly maintenance fee. We also offer consulting services for materials, suppliers, and machine vendors. Terms: A contract is necessary listing the percentage and the term length. Payments are due each month for the first year, quarterly payments for the second year, and biannual payments for longer terms.
